Numerical Investigation of Double Corrugated Steel Plate Shear Walls

Recently, corrugated steel plate shear walls have been shown to be an efficient lateral force resisting system for building structures. Corrugated plates higher out-of-plane stiffness and improved buckling stability in comparison with flat which result hysteretic behavior. However, the thickness of may limited due cold-form process restrictions. This paper investigates cyclic performance double walls. One-story single-bay specimen was designed modelled parametric studies were performed. The study considered orientation (horizontal or vertical), disconnection infill from columns, each other, aspect ratio on present results show that proper selection aforementioned parameters can lead a desirable performance. In end, recommendation calculating initial ultimate strength is given.
